Mirroring allows you to send your screen and audio to the TV. We have used this for a few reasons. Sometimes my kids like to watch me play a few games so we broadcast it for ease of viewing. Or when my wife and I are looking at purchases on Amazon we will do this so we can see the same thing at the same time.

This requires your TV to have Miracast. Many SmartTVs already have this capability. If you don’t, you can use a box that provides this like the NETGEAR Push2TV Wireless Display HDMI Adapter with Miracast (PTV3000) Certified for use with Kindle Fire HDX.

  1. Turn on your TV and make sure Miracast is enabled. Refer to your TV&’s operating instructions.
  2. On your Kindle Fire open your Settings, tap on “Display & Sounds”. Then tap on “Display Mirroring”.
  3. The Kindle will search for a Miracast device. After a few moments a device should show in the list. Click on the device to connect.

Your TV may require you to accept the connection with the remote control. You should now be mirroring the Kindle. You can stop mirroring by going into the same menu option and tapping “Stop Mirroring”.
